Version 2026-10-22.1 · Last updated 2026-10-22
Draft — pending legal review. This text is a working draft and not yet binding; placeholders in brackets will be completed before launch.
1. Who operates budapest.app
budapest.app is operated by [COMPANY NAME], registered office: [REGISTERED ADDRESS], company registration number: [COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER], tax number: [TAX NUMBER], registered by [REGISTRY COURT]. Contact: [CONTACT E-MAIL].
These Terms apply to the website budapest.app and the budapest.app mobile apps (together: the service).
2. Who can use the service
Anyone can browse public content without an account. Creating an account and using community features (programs, footprints, travelers, chat) requires that you are at least 18 years old.
You may hold one personal account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in methods secure.
3. Your account
You sign in with a verified phone number, e-mail address, Apple ID or Google account. In some regions a mobile number is required.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion locks the account immediately and erases it after 30 days, except data we must keep by law.
4. Deals and reservations
Deals are offers made by independent local businesses and are published through the Zsákmány platform operated by [ZSÁKMÁNY OPERATOR NAME]. The business is responsible for its offer, its stock and the goods or services provided.
A reservation holds an item for you within the pickup window. You pay the business directly, on site. budapest.app does not process payments. Approximate € and $ amounts are for information only.
You can cancel free of charge before the cancellation deadline shown on your pass. Repeated no-shows can limit how many open reservations you may hold.
5. Programs, events, places and footprints
Programs are plans hosted by members. budapest.app does not organise them and is not a party to arrangements between members. Meet in public places and use your own judgement.
Events can be added from flyers with AI assistance. Such events are checked by the submitter and reviewed by a moderator, and are labelled as AI-assisted.
6. Your content and licence
You keep the rights to content you post. You grant [COMPANY NAME] a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it within the service for as long as it is online.
Do not post content you have no right to share, personal data of others, contact details in public posts, advertising or anything illegal.
7. Rules of conduct
No harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, scams, impersonation or attempts to locate other people. Do not use the service for commercial solicitation or dating.
Do not interfere with the service, scrape it or circumvent limits and security measures.
8. Moderation, notices and complaints (DSA)
Anyone can report content through the report buttons or the report form. A person reviews every notice. We act on illegal content and on content that breaks these Terms.
When we restrict content or an account, we tell the person concerned with a statement of reasons (Article 17 DSA). You can appeal the decision through the internal complaint handling system within 6 months; you may also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body.
Point of contact for authorities and users under Articles 11–12 DSA: [DSA CONTACT E-MAIL].
9. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Information from businesses and members is shown as provided by them.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Hungarian law, including liability for intentional or grossly negligent breach and for damage to life, physical integrity or health.
10. Changes to these Terms
We will tell you about material changes in advance, in the service or by e-mail. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Hungarian law. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence. Consumer complaints can also be submitted to the competent conciliation body ([CONCILIATION BODY NAME]) or via the EU online dispute resolution platform.
